Lido DAO is a digital asset staking platform that helps to lower the Ethereum 2.0 entry barrier. The protocol allows you to deposit coins into a staking contract and receive in return an equal amount of "derivative" tokens that provide liquidity to the invested assets. Thus, the user can continue using cryptocurrencies blocked in the staking contract for financial transactions. For example, to deposit them into liquidity pools.

This week @launchnodes underwent a slashing event impacting 20 validators operated using the Lido protocol.
The root cause is a non-optimal fallback process employed while addressing datacenter issues, coupled with no slashing protection on Web3signer.
