Lido DAO is a digital asset staking platform that helps to lower the Ethereum 2.0 entry barrier. The protocol allows you to deposit coins into a staking contract and receive in return an equal amount of "derivative" tokens that provide liquidity to the invested assets. Thus, the user can continue using cryptocurrencies blocked in the staking contract for financial transactions. For example, to deposit them into liquidity pools.

A new proposal has just dropped on the MakerDAO governance forum that continues to set out the so-called 'Endgame' 🏝️
Within Section 3 of the proposal is a proposal to swap LDO into MKR, and subsequently use the LDO as decentralized starting collateral for the Maker Protocol Owned Vault.
